Public Transport 

Train Station

Southbank Station – Grey Street – is a 10 minute* (700m) walk from Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre.   

South Brisbane Station – 133 Grey Street – is a 3 minute* (190m) walk from Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre. 

Bus Station

Southbank Station – Tribune Street – is a 9 minute* (650m) walk from Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Cultural Centre Station – Cnr Grey & Melbourne Street – is a 5 minute* (350m) walk from Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre

Getting Around Brisbane

For those wishing to access the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre via public transport, you will need to purchase a Go card, or alternatively using a contactless payment method such as Apple pay. Go cards are available for purchase at any local Newsagent and major train/bus station. When purchasing at a Newsagent, you are able to load a chosen amount of money onto the card. Major bus and train stations have allocated kiosks where you can tap your card to pre-load money onto the card. The cost of a Go Card is $10 and your fares will be an additional cost. Go cards cannot be shared with multiple passengers.

Other places include some 7-Eleven stores.

From Brisbane Airport

Novotel South Bank is only a 19-minute drive from Brisbane Airport.  

Uber – Uber & Rideshare pick up is on the central road between taxi pick up and passenger pick up and drop off, either side of the Skywalk. Upon exiting the Terminal, cross two crossings to find it.

Taxi – Taxis are available 24/7 from sheltered ranks right outside the Domestic and International Terminals.

The Airtrain is one of the easiest ways to travel from Brisbane Airport to the city. This is an express train that runs every 15 minutes from Brisbane Airport to South Brisbane Station in the city. The trip takes roughly 20 minutes. 

The Airtrain operates seven days a week between 5 am and 10 pm. Pre-booking offers you a discounted travel rate of $27 return ticket. If you purchase a ticket on the day, the travel rate is $52. 

Tickets can be purchased online via the Airtrain, or at the electronic kiosks in Brisbane Airport Station. You’ll save on the one-way fare by purchasing a return ticket.

Car Parking 

The Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre  carpark has two entry points, one from Merivale Street and one on Grey Street, Brisbane QLD 4000, offering 24-hour parking, 7 days. In the event of carpark overflow there is a Secure Parking carpark located SW1 Secure park at 32 Cordelia Street, Brisbane QLD 4000 offering 24-hour parking, 7 days.

Taxi Services 

You can access taxis and rideshare services when you arrive at Brisbane Airport. You'll find taxi ranks at the front of all terminals - simply follow the signs to the nearest ranks. For rideshare services, please arrange with your driver to meet you at the designated passenger pickup/drop off area.
