In 2015, Canteen Australia, UK’s Teenage Cancer Trust, and Teen Cancer America, formed the AYA Cancer Global Accord Alliance. The aim of the Alliance is to invest and support a growing global multidisciplinary workforce who are committed to improving the lives of adolescents and young adults (AYAs) diagnosed with cancer. 

A key focus of this partnership is the annual Global AYA Cancer Congress Series which is the world’s most significant gathering of medical professionals and advocates in AYA cancer care.

Together, the Alliance has created an international Congress where speakers from across the globe gather to present sector-leading research on cancer care and treatment for young people.

This Congress is a key forum for advancing AYA cancer care and treatment for over 400 professionals, encompassing medical, nursing, allied health, and psychosocial care experts, alongside AYA consumers and  AYA patient advocates.

Delegates have a unique opportunity to learn from leading international experts, share research and care practices, and connect to a worldwide network that is focused on improving cancer care and outcomes for this unique population of young people.

The 2024 edition, Ethics, Equity, and Emerging Ideas will focus on addressing progress and challenges in equitable access, ethical considerations in cancer treatment and practices, innovation, and implementation across the AYA cancer care continuum.
