Ethics, Equity and Emerging Ideas

Canteen Australia proudly presents the 6th Global Adolescent and Young Adult Cancer Congress taking place at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, Melbourne, Australia from the 3 - 6 December 2024.

Adolescents and young adults (AYAs) with cancer have unique and complex medical and psychosocial needs, distinct from those of paediatric and older adult patients, and as such require tailored, specialised AYA cancer care.

The Congress is an excellent opportunity to bring together over 400 medical, nursing, allied health, and psychosocial care professionals, along with AYA consumers and AYA focused patient advocates to address the distinctive needs of young people navigating cancer.

The 2024 edition, “Ethics, Equity, and Emerging Ideas”, will focus on addressing progress and challenges in equitable access, ethical considerations in cancer treatment and practices, innovation, and implementation across the AYA cancer care continuum.

Delegates have a unique opportunity to learn from leading international experts, share research and care practices, and connect to a worldwide network that is focused on improving cancer care and outcomes for this unique population of young people.
