Parrmatta Park

World Heritage Listed Parramatta Park is a must see for visitors to Sydney. Colonists convict and free, were first successful in growing sufficient food to feed themselves here. The park was too attractive to be reserved for cropping for long and were used by successive Governors as respite from the stresses of running a very large open air prison.

Eat Street Parramatta

Old Government House

Standing in 200 Acres of parkland overlooking historic Parramatta, the convict-built Old Government House and Garrison buildings were built in 1799-1816, the oldest surviving public house in Australia. For seven decades, it was the 'country' residence of ten early governors of the Colony, including Gov. Lachlan and Mrs Macquarie.
