Things to do in Sydney

**Darling Square**
A vibrant district that’s only a few minutes’ walk from the world’s most beautiful harbour, with world-class dining, laneway bars, and major education and cultural institutions.

**Steam Mill Lane**
Always-on and larger-than-life, this little laneway punches above its weight with a mix of emerging fashion and lifestyle retailers, and is also the new home of some of Sydney’s best-known and loved food concepts.

**The Goods line**
The Goods Line is a shared pedestrian and cycle path, and green public space, connecting Ultimo with Darling Harbour. It’s surrounded by some of Sydney’s most important cultural, educational and media institutions, such as the ABC, UTS, TAFE and the Museum of Applied Arts & Sciences (Powerhouse).

**Chinese Garden of Friendship**
Wander serene pathways and take in exotic plants, blooming flowers and a lake of shimmering Koi, or settle in and soak up the ambience with some mouthwatering Chinese cuisine at The Gardens by Lotus, housed within the heritage-listed Teahouse. By day, enjoy a variety of teas and dumplings; by night, a bold and fiery Sichuan feast.

**Barangaroo**
Design excellence. World class dining. Natural beauty. From the calm of the headland Reserve in the north to the urban energy of the southern retail precinct, Barangaroo is your place to meet, work, dine, relax or just soak up a whole new view of Sydney.

**National Maritime Museum**
Enter the awesome world of underwater warfare aboard a navy submarine explore the last of the big-gun destroyers marvel at the Spirit of Australia, holder of the world water speed record since 1978 climb aboard HMB Endeavour, a magnificent replica of Captain James Cook's famous vessel of discovery, or the 1874 James Craig—or climb the 1874 Cape Bowling Green Lighthouse.
