Call for Abstracts


On behalf of the Conference Organising Committee, comprising members of the Interactive Media Institute, IDCare, and the Cyberpsychology Research Group at The University of Sydney, it is our pleasure to invite you to participate in CyPsy28 – the 28th Annual CyberPsychology, CyberTherapy and Social Networking Conference to be held on 15 – 17 July 2025 at the Sofitel Wentworth Sydney, NSW, Australia. 

The theme for the 2025 Conference in Australia is: CyberPsychology and CyberSecurity: Shaping Health and Society

CyPsy28 is hosted by IDCARE, Australia and New Zealand’s national identity & cyber support service. This service is the only one of its type in the world. IDCARE has helped thousands of Australian and New Zealand individuals and organisations reduce the harm they experience from the compromise and misuse of their identity information by providing effective response and mitigation. In collaboration with the Interactive Media Institute and the Cyberpsychology Research Group at The University of Sydney, this conference is an international networking and knowledge dissemination opportunity for researchers, clinicians, policymakers, Government officials and NGOs to meet and discuss advancements in the fields of Cyberpsychology and Cybersecurity. Its primary goal is to share knowledge, foster collaborations and grow multidisciplinary communities toward producing leading evidence-based technology and human factor solutions that positively shape health and society. The conference, now in its 28th year, has a broad focus and welcomes students and experts from any discipline focused on improving digital solutions for security, health and the betterment of an advancing global society.

Abstracts are sought for:

  • Oral Presentation & Refereed Paper (15 minute presentation + 5 minutes for Q&A)
  • Oral Presentation (15 minute presentation + 5 minutes for Q&A)
  • Poster Presentation
  • Workshop
