The Australasian Legal Practice Management Association (ALPMA) and The Australian Legal Technology Association (ALTA) recognises that urgent action is required to help reduce the impact of climate change, reduce waste and manage our natural resources as sustainably as possible. As an organisation we are committed to implementing sustainability practices into our operations as best we can in practical ways.
We believe that meetings and face-to-face events are an important part of learning and professional development, forging connections, networking and knowledge-sharing. We understand however, that these meetings can involve significant travel and resource usage, generate waste and increase our carbon footprint.
With this in mind, we have prepared a sustainability statement, outlining the ways in which we are aiming to minimise the environmental impacts of the 2025 ALPMA Summit + ALTACON event.
With ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) factors at the forefront of creating a sustainable Summit we have made choices that align with our sustainability goals and the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Even the smallest choice makes a difference to our future. We are striving to make our Summit as sustainable as possible; and by implementing these strategies at the 2025 ALPMA Summit + ALTACON we are taking a step in the right direction. We are committed to building a strong foundation to maintain a healthy sustainable future.
The sustainability statement will be available for download shortly.
