NSW EPA

Kylie is a proud Bundjalung woman of the north coast of NSW. Kylie is currently influencing and leading change to embed Aboriginal cultural values into the work of the NSW EPA. This includes building relationships with Aboriginal people, as first protectors of Country,  to work in and with the NSW EPA and to progress structural changes to reform and improve the protection of the environment.

 

Kylie has over 23 years’ experience in working in NSW government, including as a senior executive, across a range of range of sectors. Highlights over this time include the introduction of Cultural Support Plans for all Aboriginal children and young people in statutory out of home care,  establishment of the purpose built Ballina Aboriginal Child and Family Centre, establishment of the NSW Independent Review of Aboriginal Children and Young People in out of home care and leading state-wide initiatives to protect Aboriginal cultural values of Sea Country within the NSW Marine Estate Management Strategy.
