Thank you for registering for SEPLA-CON 2024 to be held at the International Convention Centre (ICC) Sydney on Monday, 22nd and Tuesday, 23rd July 2024.

First Time Registering for SEPLA-CON 2024

If this is your first time registering for SEPLA-CON 2024, please click the 'Create a new user account' tab. You are required to enter your email address, create and confirm a password and then press the 'Next' button in the bottom right corner of the screen. Please take note of the email address and password you use for this site, as it will enable you to access the Conference App approximately three weeks before the Conference, which will be required by all delegates.

Passwords must have a minimum length of seven (7) characters, and must contain both numbers and alphabetic characters.

If you have attended previous SEPLA conferences, your password from the previous conference has not been transferred to this portal and you will need to set up a new account for this Conference.

Registering a Group for SEPLA-CON 2024

If you are registering a group of staff, please note that you will be required to complete the full registration form for all delegates in one sitting, as the registration portal does not have the capability for you to pause your registration and finish the process at a later time. If you are registering a group of more than 10 people, please email registration@gemsevents.com.au for access to the Large Group Portal.

Once the program has been finalised, delegates will be sent an email requesting that they select the sessions they wish to attend for Monday, 22nd July only.  This is required due to the large number of attendees and room capacities at the ICC Sydney.  If you are registering on behalf of another person, please ensure that you provide the actual attendee's email address on the registration form so that they can select their preferred sessions as they become available.

We ask for your personal data to facilitate your registration for this Conference.

Will third parties have access to your personal data?

For this event, your personal data will be viewed and processed by GEMS Event Management Australia and the Special Education Principal's and Leaders' Association (SEPLA) NSW as the convenors of SEPLA-CON 2024. If you opt in to having your information shared with Sponsors and Exhibitors, your personal data will be shared with these organisations approximately one week prior to the Conference.

How long will we store your personal data?

As attendees at a Conference convened by SEPLA, your personal data will be retained indefinitely for the purpose of communicating information about future educational events, such as conferences and professional development activities.

Withdrawal of Consent

If you wish to be shown as a delegate on the Conference App and obtain information about conference delegates, conference program and speaker information, you will need to provide consent below.

Additionally, during the registration process, you will be asked if you wish to opt in to having your details shared with Sponsors and Exhibitors. If you do not opt in at that point, your information will not be shared to these parties.

Would you like to register as a group or individual?

If you are registering a group of less than 10 people, all registrations must be completed in one sitting and you will be required to complete the full registration form for each delegate.  It is vitally important that you use a unique email for each delegate registration.  Should you not be able to complete the group page in one sitting, please email registration@gemsevents.com.au

Teachers are able to enter SEPLA-CON 2024 as ETAMS Elective PD on the NESA site. A statement will be provided by SEPLA on the Conference Website that can be used when inputting you professional development information into the portal.

Attendee App Visibility

SEPLA-CON 2024 will include a Conference App for delegates to use before, during and after the Conference. All delegate names and organisations will be uploaded into the app; however, you are able to choose if you would like your contact details shared on your profile within the app. You are able to change this once you log into the app, approximately two weeks prior to the Conference.

Accommodation Booking

Accommodation is now available on request only. Please contact Michelle Haramis at registration@gemsevents.com.au with the room type, and the check in and check out dates you require to organise accommodation at Park Royal at a discounted rate.

Discounted accommodation rates have been negotiated with the PARKROYAL Darling Harbour for delegates attending  SEPLA-CON 2024. These rates are only available to conference delegates and bookings MUST be made via the online registration form. Do not contact the hotel directly for these rates. For more information on accommodation, please visit the Conference Website.

Prices are listed in Australian dollars, inclusive of GST and are per room per night.

If you do not require accommodation, please select 'No Accommodation Required'.

Should you wish to extend your stay beyond the date range below, or if you require more than one room, please contact the Conference Organiser via email to registration@gemsevents.com.au.

Every effort is made to satisfy accommodation requests, however accommodation is confirmed on a first-come, first-served basis and is subject to availability.

Please note that if you are sharing accommodation, only the person who is paying for the accommodation should make a booking.

All accommodation bookings cancelled within 30 days of arrival will be charged 100% penalty for the full cost of accommodation. In the event a conference or event delegate does not arrive at the Hotel on the reservation date, this shall be regarded as a cancellation and the delegate will be charged for the full amount of the booking.

Thank you for registering to attend SEPLA-CON 2024, the following payment options are available to attendees:

  • Pay on Invoice: An invoice will be sent to the email address supplied with your registration. All invoices are to be paid within 21 days of issuing
  • Credit Card Payment: We accept Visa Card, Mastercard and American Express. All credit card payments will incur the following fees: Visa Card – 0.90%, Mastercard - 0.87%, American Express - 1.73% + 20c transaction fee.
