Paul Grogan
Paul Grogan is Senior Strategic Adviser at the Daffodil Centre, a joint research venture of Cancer Council NSW and the University of Sydney (March 2019-). Paul’s main role is advising on research strategy and prioritisation, including horizon scanning, program evaluation and opportunities for collaboration. For 15 years previously, he was director of public policy at Cancer Council Australia, where he oversaw the development and promotion of Cancer Council Australia’s public policy resources, recommendations and clinical practice guidelines, as well as managing government relations. From 1994 to 2004, Paul was a senior media and policy adviser, including seven years as head of media and parliamentary at the NSW office of the Australian Department of Health. Paul is a Daffodil Centre research affiliate and lectures at the University of Sydney on health policy, communications and the relationship between research, advocacy and policy reform. He was a co-organiser of the Clinical Oncology Society of Australia’s inaugural AYA Cancer Forum (2007) and a contributing author of the forum’s summary report.Session: Advocacy
