Dr Joanna Fardell

Dr Joanna Fardell is Senior Research Fellow for the SPHERE Cancer Clinical Academic Group, working in the Living Better with and After Cancer area of focus. She is also neuropsychologist for the Western Sydney Youth Cancer Service, Westmead Hospital. She has attracted > $10.5M in competitive research funding and has >100 peer reviewed publications (H-index 36). Her research centres on patient reported outcomes, including quality of life, social, emotional and cognitive function, across paediatric and adult oncology. Her current focus is on developing greater understanding of treatment burden and implementing models of care utilising patient reported outcomes at point of care to reduce burden and improve quality of survival in paediatric and adult oncology.
