Dr Abby Rosenberg

Dr. Abby Rosenberg, is the Chief of Pediatric Palliative Care at Boston Children’s Hospital and the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, and an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at Harvard Medical School.  In addition to clinical training in pediatric palliative care and pediatric hematology-oncology, Dr. Rosenberg has advanced degrees in epidemiology and biomedical ethics. Her research focuses on creating and implementing programs to build resilience and improve quality of life among children with serious illness and their families. She has been continuously funded by the NIH for her entire career, published over 250 peer-reviewed manuscripts related to pediatric and AYA psychosocial and supportive care, and has been an invited speaker at over 100 national and international meetings. She has received many national and international awards for her work, including the 2021 University of Washington Faculty mentoring award, 2022 American Cancer Society Lifetime Achievement Award for scholarship that directly improves patient and family quality of life, the 2023 Pathfinder in Palliative Care award for groundbreaking research among patients with serious illness, and the 2024 Palliative Care Visionary Award from the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine.
