Call for Abstracts
The Conference Organising Committee are seeking presentation abstracts for the 2024 ALDE Conference 'Connecting the Pieces: Crafting the Future of Land Development' which will be held at the Mantra Lorne on Tuesday, 20 and Wednesday, 21 August 2024.
The theme highlights the intricate nature of land development projects and the various components that need to come together seamlessly for successful outcomes. Just like assembling a puzzle, the land development team must skilfully connect different aspects such as infrastructure, environmental sustainability, urban planning, and regulatory compliance. This conference is set to explore the challenges and innovative solutions that we all employ to create liveable communities.
Abstracts are being sought in the following Conference streams:
- Effective Site Management
- Smart Software Use
- Collaboration with Land Development
- Innovative Design
We are excited to convene the ALDE 2024 Conference and look forward to seeing you in Lorne in August 2024.

Abstract Submission Guidelines
The following guidelines apply for the submission of abstracts for all concurrent presentations.
- All abstracts must be submitted via the online Abstract Submission Portal.
- In total, abstracts should be no more than 400 words in length. Abstracts exceeding this limit will not be considered.
- Submissions must include a biography of the presenter/s of up to 200 words. Submissions not including a biography of the presenter will not be considered.
Abstracts must include the following information:
Author(s): Preferred Given Name, and Surname of all AuthorsPresenter: Name of person/s who will conduct the presentation at the Conference. Multiple presenters are permitted.
Title: e.g. Mr, Mrs, Ms, Dr, Prof for all persons listed above.
Position: Official job title of the presenter/s e.g., Project Manager.
Organisation: The organisation/institution with which the presenter/s are affiliated.
Contact Details: Mobile and email details must be provided for the presenter/s.
Presentation Title: This is the title that will be included in the Program, Conference App, and promotional material for the Conference.
Stream: Please indicate the most appropriate stream for your presentation based on the options outlined on pages 4 and 5 of the abstract guidelines document.
Abstracts for concurrent presentations should be submitted by no later than Thursday, 30 November 2023. Presenters will be advised of the outcome of their submission by no later than Monday, 29 January 2024.
Please note that the Conference Organisers and/or Committee will communicate only with the 'first author' of a presentation. In the case of co-authored presentations, it will be the responsibility of the 'first author' to pass on to the co-author(s), communications from the Committee.
All concurrent presenters are required to register for the Conference.
