Overview
Most legal tech does not fail because it is bad. It fails because no one uses it. This session looks at why new systems get bypassed, half-adopted or quietly abandoned, and at what actually drives adoption. Delegates leave with a practical, evidence-based way to diagnose adoption risk and build the conditions for technology to stick.

Biography
Dr Samantha Rush is a cognitive decision-making specialist who works with senior leaders, boards, and professional services firms to strengthen judgment in complex, high-stakes environments.
With more than 20 years’ commercial experience across regulated and risk-intensive sectors, she brings a practical understanding of how governance structures, partnership dynamics, and organisational pressure shape real-world decisions.
Samantha’s work focuses on decision environments: the relational, cognitive, and procedural conditions that determine how information is interpreted, challenged, and acted upon. Drawing on psychology, neuroscience, and her PhD research in decision-making, she helps organisations design conditions that protect professional judgment, enable healthy challenge, and improve follow-through without adding unnecessary complexity.
Known for translating rigorous research into practical tools, Samantha works with leadership teams to improve clarity, accountability, and decision discipline in environments where quality and ethical standards matter.
