President's Address

The ASCP 5th Concrete Pavements Conference was hosted at Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley NSW on Monday 21st to Tuesday 22nd July 2019.

The ASCP biennial Concrete Pavements Conference is the only conference in the field of heavy-duty concrete pavements in Australia.  It presented a wealth of information and experience for industry practitioners and included a number of international experts as key presenters.

The conference organisers invited dynamic, forward focused presenters who ignited informed discussion and brung expertise in one or more of the following thematic areas:

  • Concrete road pavements
  • Concrete pavements for airfields
  • Other concrete pavements, such as ports, heavy industrial, rail/light rail
  • Rehabilitation including recycling of pavements or materials, pavement maintenance, and strategic pavement interventions
  • Developments in equipment for concrete pavement construction
  • Innovations

This conference provided an unrivalled opportunity to be part of a community of concrete pavements practitioners at the leading edge of our profession. The ASCP 5th Concrete Pavements Conference provided an excellent forum for networking, education and an opportunity to meet and interact with engineers, researchers, academics, practitioners and professionals from Australia and overseas, providing ample opportunity for professional growth.

The ASCP 5th Concrete Pavements Conference attracted close to 200 local, national and international delegates from the concrete pavements industry.
